Reporting to the Global Head of Communications in San Francisco, the Vice President for Corporate Communications, Latin America and Caribbean Region (LAC), will manage a team of 12 communications professionals across Miami, Brazil, Mexico and Columbia – helping to support Visa’s business in 44 markets.
This role sits on Visa’s LAC management team, as well as Visa’s global communications leadership team, with responsibility for driving the company’s reputation as the leader in payments across stakeholder groups that include clients, media, employees, regulators and other influencers. This leader owns defining the communications priorities that will enable Visa to achieve its stated goals for the Latin America and Caribbean region with special emphasis on the key markets of Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Peru and Chile by:

Creating and leading the execution of a strategic, proactive and reactive communications effort that positions Visa as an innovative technology company and thought leader, in addition to its established reputation as the global leader in payments.

Communicating the Visa story through a diverse set of programs that include: external media relations – both traditional, digital and social, employee engagement and communications, client communications, executive communications, public affairs, corporate responsibility and crisis management.

Working across geographies and functions to ensure messaging, positioning and narrative is globally consistent, while regionally relevant.

Integrating efforts with marketing counterparts to fully leverage the power of earned, owned and paid channels that will ensure greater reach and impact of Visa’s messages.

Ensuring all programs have clear goals, metrics and a measurement approach that fosters continuous improvement and return on investment.

Managing boutique agency relationships in markets where Visa does not currently have communicators on-the-ground.
Qualifications
